Graveside services for Golden R. Walker, 85-year-old former Sherman resident, were held at 3 p.m. today in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. She died Wednesday in San Angelo.  Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Walker was born in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Henry Rees and Mary Elizabeth Fitzgerald Rees. She attended Hugo, Oklahoma schools, St. Paul's School of Nursing and Grayson College. In 1929 she married Raymond D. Walker in Dallas.
She was a school nurse for the Sherman Independent School District for more than 15 years and had also worked at St. Vincent's Hospital and Wilson N. Jones Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Among her survivors are her sons, Rees Walker of San Antonio; daughter, Mary Seay of San Angelo; sister, Mary Rees of Denton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Celeste Seay, Tim Seay, John Seay, Jefferson Seay, Cary Seay, Betsy Seay Hinson, John Walker and Marie Walker, grandchildren of the deceased.
Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 3000 Carlisle, Suite 208, Dallas, 75204,
Rosary was recited Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
