Services for Lena M. Wilson, 86, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 28 in the Waldo Funeral Chapel with Joe Ed Furr of Western Heights Church of Christ officiating. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Wilson died Saturday, December 26, 2009. 
Lena was born on October 30, 1923 in Whitesboro to the late Clyde and Lillie Wyatt. She moved to the Sherman area in 1937 and graduated from Sherman High School in 1941. She later attended Grayson County College. Lena married T.H. Wilson of Sherman in 1942 and they were married for 62 years. After Mr. Wilson's military duty, they made their home in Sherman, where they raised their two sons, Ted and Richard. She was a member of the Western Heights Church of Christ. 
Lena was employed at Pool Mfg. Co. for 15 years and retired from Texas Instruments in 1989 after 23 years of service. She enjoyed church activities, sewing, traveling, and being with her granddaughters. 
Lena is survived by her sons, Ted Eugene Wilson of Oklahoma City and Richard Lee Wilson, and wife Patty, of Sherman; two granddaughters, Nicole Chestnut and husband Chris, of Hurst, and Meaghan Vaughn and husband Zach of Flint; step-grandchildren, Albert Staley and wife Jessy of Holladay, Utah and Clarissa Goodwin and husband Robert of Sherman; great-grandchildren, Matthew Vaughn, Molly Vaughn, Sarah Chestnut, Nicolas Chestnut, Madelyn Goodwin, Lily Goodwin, and Silas Staley; brothers, Billy Joe Wyatt of Sherman, Jack and wife Yuca Lee of Huntsville, and Don and wife Laura of Denison; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Lena's friend and companion, Floyd Hagedorn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sister, Lela "Toddie" Wineinger; sister, Margaret Costello, and brothers, Alford and Gene Wyatt.
