Darline Bryant-Waddles

Darline Waddles was born January 1, 1939 in Boswell, Oklahoma, daughter of John and Aline Bryant. Here she grew up and attended Dungee Public School. Early in her adult life she moved to the Texomaland area. She enrolled in the Culinary Arts Department at Grayson County College, and became an outstanding chef working in several nursing homes in Sherman. She then united with Daniel Gray CME Church and later attended the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church.
With an outgoing personality she enjoyed meeting, talking and helping people. She was very active in the community participating in many worthwhile activities.
She married Joe Waddles.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her daughter, Donna "Suki" Johnson; and her 4 siblings.

Darline is survived by her daughters, Madeline Brown of Sherman; Rebecca Gray and husband, Jerry, of Sherman; Kimberly Cassell of Dallas; son, Windsor Terry Marcus of Boston, Massachusetts; sister, Claritha Bryant of Marshall, Texas; brother, Steve Bryant and wife, Francena, of Denison; step-children, Joe Waddles and Calvin Waddles of Denison; Carol Crossley of Ft. Worth; Vincent Williams of Sherman; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her.
Darline passed away Sunday July 17, 2016 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Darline’s Homegoing Service was held Saturday morning, July 23, 2016 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas. Rev. Gahlen Warren, host pastor and Rev. Craig Davis delivered the eulogy. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Arrangements were under the direction of James E. Smith with Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
