Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel for 85-year-old Sherman resident Walter Henry Voth who died Sunday at Medical Plaza.  Rev. Michael Mattil of Grace Lutheran Church officiated and burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Voth was born in Red Wing, Minnesota, the son of Henry and Anna Dicke Voth and was married to Lena Heider August 23, 1931 in Poole, Nebraska.
He was a Lutheran School Principal for 27 years in San Antonio, Beaumont, McAllen and Amarillo. He was then an agent for the Aid Association for Lutherans Fraternal Life as a district representative for the state of Arkansas for 12 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors include wife of Sherman; sons, Glen Voth of Sherman; and Dr. Gayle Voth of Dallas; daughters, Edythe Bernhardt of Springfield, Illinois; and Marjorie Summers of Elmhurst, Illinois; brothers, Hubert Voth, Elmer Voth of Red Wing, Minnesota; sisters, Lucille Horn of Red Wing, Minnesota; Pauline Cordes of Houston; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Family members served as pallbearers.
