SHERMAN - Services for Frances Marie Vaughn, 58, formerly of Sherman, who died Dec. 9, 1994, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, were at 2 p.m. Monday in the Waldo Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Vaughn was born in Madill, Oklahoma, September 10, 1936, the daughter of James Charles and Minnie Evans Bernard. She attended Sherman schools and after moving to Buffalo, New York in 1962, attended technical school there. She married Keith Ervin Vaughn November 10, 1973, in Mexico. She was a dispensing optician for several years in Port Arthur and Austin, and lived in Dallas where she a member of the Dallas Ostomy Club. She was a member of Archer City First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, of Kemp; sons, Charles Miller of Niagara Falls, New York; Dennis Miller of Elk City, Oklahoma; and Keith Vaughn Jr., of Arlington; daughters, Jody Bell of Garland; Mary Alessandra of College Station; Peggy Bennett of Copperas Cove; Penney Frances Miller of Buffalo, New York; Johnise Kelly of Sacramento, California; Phylis Byrd of Duncanville; and Linda Gibson and Diane Vaughn, both of Wichita Falls; mother, Minnie Bernard of Hale Center; brothers, Billy James Bernard of Wills Point; Bobby Joe Bernard of Arlington; sisters, Betty Sue Thompson of Sherman; and Martha Rundell of Plainview; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Norman Vaughn, Steve Gibson, Tony Bell, Bill Thompson, James Byrd and Keith Vaughn Jr.
