Services for Margaret Louise Taylor were Thursday, March 10 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. David Morris of Edmond, Oklahoma  officiated with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 7, 2011 after 90 rich years and 22 days here on Earth.
Margaret was born February 18, 1921 in Deport, Texas. She was the daughter of Ernest and Cordelia Craven and a sister to Horace, Merle, Lois Craven and Jennie Little, and wife of 62 years to Billie Leslie Taylor.
Margaret co-founded and owned for 51 years Taylor Boat Company in Sherman, which was one of the longest in operation and one of the most successful Texoma land marine dealerships in Grayson County. She was a professional seamstress and, more significantly, she dressed the best dressed women in Sherman and Denison who wore her original designs. She was so talented she often made her creations without a pattern, cutting to size and custom fitting her clients with exceptional casual and formal designs. Margaret was not only talented, she was also beautiful. She was also recognized as Sherman High School's homecoming queen in 1938. TODAY HEAVEN has a new homecoming QUEEN.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Horace Craven; and sister, Merle Ulrich, she is survived by one son, Danny Dexter Taylor and his wife Carol Jordan of Houston; one daughter, Delia Jan Pippard and husband John "Pepper" of Plano; six grandchildren, Anthony Wes Pippard and his wife Laura; Shelly Jan Pippard Beckelman and husband Ben; Mary Shannon Taylor Ratliff and husband Wesley Todd; Margaret Julie Taylor Leon and husband Marcos; Hailey Carol Taylor Huxford and husband Thomas Campbell Huxford III; and Daniel Jordan Taylor; twelve great-grandchildren: Tawny Rotello and husband Radd; Ashliegh Pippard; Veronica Jan Pippard; Rhett Pippard; Anna Claire Ratliff; George Ratliff; Charlie Ratliff; Tucker Ratliff; Claire Beckelman; Kate Beckelman; Savannah Beckelman; and Riley Huxford; and one great-great grandchild William Rotello.
