Services for Chauncey A. Taylor of Sherman, 68, who died Thursday, were held Saturday in the First Baptist Church.
Masonic graveside services were conducted by the Randall Masonic Lodge No. 1342 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor was born in Gunter, son of G.W. Taylor, Jr. and Lydia M. Webb Taylor, and married Florence E. Branch on April 8, 1950. He attended school at Gunter, Texas Tech University and North Texas State University. He was a Navy veteran.
He served as president, general manager and chairman of the board of G.W. Taylor Tank Company.
Mr. Taylor had served as a board member of Grayson County Bank, M&P National Bank, M Bank and advisory directory of Bank One. He also served as president of Taylor Industries and JAL Corp. of Gunter, chairman of the board and president of Texas Manufacturing Company of Whitesboro, board member of Roman Wire Company, chairman of the Joint Venture Management Board of Sulta Manufacturing Company in Sulphur Springs and board member of Vibration and Noise engineering Company of Dallas. He served as chairman of the board and officer of CDT Supply Company, board member of Hurricane Creek Country Club and as president and board member of Ro TaLon.
A Sherman resident since 1950, he was an active member of First Baptist Church and member of the Lions Club, Airport Board and past master of the Andrew Randall Masonic Lodge No. 1314.
Surviving are his wife; son, Ladd Taylor of Lewisville; daughters, April Sampson of Sherman and Julie Law of Lubbock; brother, Don W. Taylor of Gunter; sister, Neva Streetman of Gunter; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gene Fort, Ladd Smith, Bill Clark, Howard Smith, Earl Lusk and Albert W. Brown.
