Funeral services for Burl D. Sprinkle, age 87, of Sherman, Texas were held Monday morning, September 20, 2010 at
the Key Memorial United Methodist Church in Sherman, Texas. Burial followed at the Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman. Pastor Albert Fisher of Key Memorial United Methodist Church officiated and the services were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.

He passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Homestead of Sherman.
Burl was born in Celeste, Texas on November 29, 1922. son of Ernest Lindsey Sprinkle and Amy Ann Hunter Sprinkle. He married Ruby June Barker on February 20, 1945 in Greenville, Texas. Burl joined and served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. He worked as a Car Salesman for 32 years beginning with Chase Chevrolet that became Ramey Chevrolet before he retired. Burl was a member of the Key Memorial United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Sprinkle, of Sherman; son, Lindsey Keith Sprinkle and wife, Vicki, of Gordonville, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Amanda Howard and husband, Kevin, of Walnut Bend, Texas; Bryan Keith Sprinkle and wife, April, of Gordonville, Texas; Aimee Sprinkle and Alyssa Sprinkle, both of Gordonville, Texas; 5 great-grandchildren, Maranda Dailey, Darrion Dailey, Kaitlin Howard, Savanna Howard and Alex Sprinkle. Burl is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wilford Sprinkle; and sister, Nella Morgan.
Pallbearers were Bryan Sprinkle, Billy Dale Sprinkle, Mark Sprinkle, Dean Freeman, Tom Byrd and Mac Shields.
