Linda Kay Stapp, 71, went peacefully to heaven Monday, May 25, 2015, hoping that others would find peace in Him.
Mrs. Stapp was born April 7, 1944 in Durant, Oklahoma, daughter of George and Edna Fink Brown.  She resided for many years in Gainesville.  Linda met and married the love of her life, Richard Stapp, in Denison, Texas.
She found great joy in sharing her passion for the Lord and leading people to Him.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 5 siblings, Rex, Clarence, George, Billie, and Shirley.
Survivors are her husband; sons, Richard William Stapp and Jeffery Stapp and wife, Debra Massengill Stapp; daughter, Penny Garrison and husband, Dale; grandchildren, Amanda Garrison-Mobley and husband, Matthew; Tanner Stapp; Hayley Stapp; and Brighton Stapp; brother, Oscar Brown; sister, Thresa Morton; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



Richard Leroy Stapp, 83, went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 4, 2019 at Community Hospice of Texas in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Mr. Stapp was born September 4, 1935 in Denison, Texas, son of Marion and Eunice Hollowell Stapp.  He married the love of his life, Linda Kay Brown, February 10. 1962 in Denison, Texas.  For a time, he worked for the Katy Railroad, then was a Band director for many years in St. Jo, then finished his career at General Dynamics as an engineer.  After retiring he played standup bass for the band, Happy Notes.  Richard also served as a Boy Scout Leader of the ARC.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Mr. Stapp leaves behind his family - sons, Richie Stapp of Euless, Texas; and Jeff Stapp and wife, Debbie, of North Richland Hills, Texas; daughters, Penny Garrison and husband, Dale, of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda Mobley and husband, Matt; Tanner Stapp; Hayley Stapp; Brighton Stapp; great-grandchildren, Meyer Mobley and Grayson Rojas; sister, Nadine Woods of Denison, Texas; brother, Donald Stapp and wife, Saundra, of Denison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Leslie Stapp and Carl Stapp; and sisters, Mildred Stapp and Velma Watkins.
Funeral services were held Monday morning, February 11, 2019 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donald Bittick officiating.  Interment followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.  Pallbearers were Tanner Stapp, Richie Stapp, Dale Garrison, Matt Mobley, Sisto Rojas, and Gray Brown.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
