Don loved his family, especially his wife, Bonnie, who as an author often ask him for his thoughts while writing her books.  He was always ready to help with something witty and a cup of hot chocolate.  He loved to play with young children by magically placing a "black smudge" on their palm or sometimes chasing them with a water hose.
Don was an automotive paint and body repairman.  He and his partner/son-in-law, Randy, owned and operated Lone Star Auto Body on Morton Street.
Don retired at 62 and enjoyed fishing, swap meets, collecting coins, antiques, and the company of his wife.
He was an Ordained Deacon and served at Calvary Baptist Church in Denison, Texas.  He loved being called on by the elderly to fix things.  He continued to help those in need even after his retirement.  He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
