May Belle Lyons Graham was born May 16, 1926 in Frederick, Oklahoma to a loving family of one brother and three sisters.  She went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 91.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
May met and married the love of her life, Oscar Lyons, at a very young age.  May held her family close and traveled many times with her husband and two kids, Larry and Sharon, during her husband's deployment with the military.  She dedicated her life to her family and did so with a sweet spirit.
Later in life she met and married TJ Graham with whom she completed her life in Sherman, Texas until he went home to be with the Lord.  She was an excellent cook, loved to travel, and to play card games and dominoes.  She also enjoyed serving her church.  Her sweet spirit and gregarious nature led her to make friends wherever she went.
May is survived by her son, Larry J. Lyons and wife, Jeannie, of Sherman; step-sons, Kenneth Graham and TJ Graham, both of Sherman; and by her brother, Jimmy Thornhill of El Paso.  May is also survived by her grandchildren, Paula Moore of Denison; Donna Fonville of Oklahoma; Kristy  Lyons-Buck of Grand Junction, Colorado; James Loyons of Denton, Texas; Sarah Lyons-Cahill of Sherman, Texas; Sandy Goodale of California; and Kenneth Lee Graham of Sherman, as well as by a number of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her sisters, Mary, Joyce and Martha; and her daughter, Sharon Sutton.
Services were held Wednesday morning, September 6, 2017 at Kentuckytown Baptist Church, Whitewright, Texas  under the direction of Pastor Dr. Greg Allen and Rev. Rodney Stanford.  May was laid to rest next to her late husband TJ Graham and her late daughter, Sharon Sutton, at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman.  Pallbearers were great-grandsons, Chayse Parker of Sherman and Jakob Best of San Antonio, Curtis Miller, Hunter Stiles, and Kevin Fonville.  Music was provided by youth minister Hunter Stiles. - - - Waldo Funeral Home
