Funeral services for Boyd M. Sawyer, 51, were held at Johnson-Moore Chapel Thursday, October 15, 1958 with Rev. Ray Flaherty and Rev. Lawrence Smith officiating.  Interment was in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Sawyer died in Madonna hospital 30 minutes after being stricken with a heart attack early Wednesday morning at his home on Loy Lake road.
He was born in Alexandria, Indiana, April 24, 1907, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mac Sawyer.  He attended school in Indiana and later in Pottsboro when the family moved to this area.  He was married September 2, 1939 in Colgate, Oklahoma, to Edith Jack.  He was employed as powerhouse operator for the U.S. Engineers.  Mrs. Sawyer is a teacher in Hyde Park School.  He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Billy Mosse Lodge of the Masons and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his widow of Denison; his mother, Mrs. Rosa Lee Sawyer, of Dallas; 2 sons, Boyd Mark Sawyer, Jr. and Bobby Earl Sawyre, both of Denison; and 3 sisters, Mrs. H.R. Mc....
