Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Daisy P. Savage, 73, of 545 Scott Circle, who died at her residence Sunday. Services were conducted by Rev. Harold Johnson of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church with burial at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Savage was born at Cartersville, Georgia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Ponder, and married Clyde Savage on February 1, 1929. She was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors are brother Harley Ponder; and sister Mrs. Ralph Robertson, both of Sherman.
Pallbearers were Tommy Bateman, Bob Newman, Joe Martin Bryan, Riley Max Bryan, Claude Arthur and Milton Ponder Jr.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel for Clyde Savage, 59, of 715 E. Cherry St., who died unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon at a Sherman hospital. Services were conducted by Rev. Roy Jerrell of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church, and burial was at Cedarlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Mr. Savage was born on February 7, 1908 in Pilot Grove, Texas and was the son of Martin Luther and Oma Jobe Savage. He married Miss Daisy Ponder on February 1, 1929 in Sherman.
Mr. Savage was educated in the Sherman Public School system. At the time of his death he was employed in the Shipping Dept. of Mrs. Tucker Foods. Mr. Savage was a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife of Sherman; two brothers, Lloyd Savage of Sherman, and Vivian Savage of Ft. Collins, Colorado; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were George Head, W.W.Irby, Archie Dollison, Nelson Carter, L.E. Bomparte and A.L. Shiplet.
