Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church Thursday for Theodore "Ted" Schirmer, 46, of 1231 East Texas, who died at his home Tuesday after 6 weeks of illness.  Rev. Bob Ramsay conducted the service and burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Bratcher-Moore funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Schirmer was born in Cibola, Texas, May 1, 1907, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Schirmer.  He received his education in Denison schools and studied art with Xavier Gonzales, the late Frank Klepper and artists connected with Federal Art School.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Interstate Fine Artts Society, and the Lamar School Dads Club.
Schirmer is survived by his widow; the former Marie Tripp; 3 sons, Theodore C. Schirmer, Jon Paul Schirmer; and Michael Schirmer; daughter, Alice Jean Schirmer; and 2 brothers, William R. Schrimer and Robert Schirmer, all of Denison.
