Billy L. Redding went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 27, 2014 at his home in Denison.
Billy was born October 23, 1926 in Denison, Texas, son of Edgar and Stella Mae Atkins Redding.  Mr. Redding served his country during his time in the U.S. Army Air Corps nearing the end of World War II.
Billy married the love of his life, Nelda Wilson, on March 26, 1949.
He worked at W.J. Smith Wood Preserving Co. for 40 years. becoming the president of the company, a title he had until the closing of the company.  Billy also served as president of the Katy Hospital Association, a position he held until his death.
Mr. Redding was a family man who provided for his loved ones' needs and worked diligently to do so.  
Mr. Redding is survived by his loving family and loving wife of 65 years.

Nelda Raye Redding, 87, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus, Thursday, June 29, 2017, in Denison, Texas.
Nelda was born January 27, 1930 in Kemp, Oklahoma, daughter of James Polk and Mable Wilson.  Nelda was a graduate of Kemp High School.  She married the love of her life, Billy Redding, on March 26, 1949.  She was secretary to the Principal for many years at Denison High School.
Mrs. Redding is survived by son, Dennis Redding and wife, Cherry, of Ft. Worth; 2 daughters, Sherry LeBaron and husband, Barry, of Ft. Worth; and Kathy Gouge and husband, Russ, of Denison; 4 grandchildren, Kristan Brazil and husband, Mark; Russ LeBaron and wife, Jill; Matt Durham and Josh Redding; 4 great-grandchildren, Jace, Avery, Nate and Cody; and niece, Amy Plato of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, JC Wilson; and grandson, Jacob Redding.
Funeral services were held Monday morning, July 2, 2017 at Fisher Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Johnson of the First Christian Church officiating.  Private interment was held in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
