Established 1948   Allie Jo Roberson 1921 - 2013 Donald E. Roberson 1917 - 1989  Funeral services for Allie Jo Roberson, age 91, of Sherman, Texas were held Thursday afternoon, February 21, 2013 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Jim McDoniel of Western Heights Church of Christ officiating. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman. Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas. She passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Trisun Care Center in Corsicana, Texas. Allie was born on March 1, 1921 in Roberta, Oklahoma, daughter of Joseph Millford and Hadie Hannis Savage Wells. She married Don E. Roberson on September 29, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1989. Allie was a longtime faithful member of the Western Heights Church of Christ in Sherman. She was a long time employee of the Civil Service and she loved traveling. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Roberson and wife, Lisa, of Rice, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Edward Roberson and wife, Lisa, of Bedford, Texas; Tammy Paramanatham and husband, Noel, of Sherman, Texas; Steven Roberson and wife, Laura, of Sherman, Texas; Amy Isom and husband, Kerry, of El Paso, Texas; Leah Wear and husband, Kevin, of San Antonio, Texas; 16 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Becky Roberson, of Sherman, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Allie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Donald Roberson; and 2 sisters, Ina Grampp and Olean Demmey.
