Rick was raised in Denison and worked many years alongside his father, Gene Ray Pennington at Pennington Drywall with his brothers and sister.   He resided in the town of  Savoy, Texas, where he was active with several friends and neighbors within t he community.   Richard was a jack of all trades that could get any job done, strong, tough, never easy to anger and the most joy to be around.   If you knew him, you knew his laugh could light a room up.   His joking nature and kindhearted spirit filled everyone he knew.   He received the most joy from helping others, if you needed something, you knew who to count on.

Hebrews 10:24 "In Response to all he has done for us, let us do unto each other in being helpful and kind to each other and in doing good."

Richard Dale outdid himself in so very many ways and is appreciated for all he has done for others in his life on this earth.  Some hobbies of his included racing, tinkering, fixing and enjoying anything with an engine, fishing, hunting, helping others; and he had a special connection to Savoy Methodist Church where he enjoyed assisting with restorations and renovations at any given time.
Welcoming him home, he was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Jo Pennington; his father, Gene Ray Pennington; Uncle Donald Pennington; and niece, Misty Pennington. - -  -  American Funeral Service
