Stanley Wayne Pierce, 74, of Tom Bean passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at his home in Tom Bean.

He was born on August 9, 1946, son of Maurice Dale ane Helen Foster Pierce. After graduating from Sherman High School, he began working at Johnson & Johnson where he met and married the love of his life, Patricia Morse on July 18, 1969.  They celebrated 51 years of marriage.  Stanley was a 50-year member Mason and member of Travis Street Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Pierce of Tom Bean; daughter, Pam Dodson of Whitewright; and son, Steve Pierce of Sherman; two grandchildren, Shelby Dodson of Tom Bean; and Avery Dodson and wife, Alexys, of Bells; two great-grandchildren, Audrey Dodson and Amy McClain.  Stanley is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dale Pierce.


Graveside services for Maurice Dale Pierce, Jr. of Sherman, 64-year-old former Gibson Discount Store employee were held Thursday morning, February 21, 2008 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.  Rev. Danny Wood of West Sherman Baptist Church officiated and members of the Travis Masonic Lodge AF & AM performed Masonic graveside rites.  Mr. Pierce died Tuesday morning, February 19, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center.
Dale was born on March 29, 1943 in Sherman, son of Maurice Dale Pierce, Sr. and Helen Foster Pierce. He attended Sherman schools and graduated from Sherman High School in 1961.   He was employed by various businesses over the years but worked as a receiving clerk at Gibson's Discount Center in Denison for several years.
Dale had been a member of the Travis Masonic Lodge AF & AM in Sherman since the age of 21.  He also loved to ride motorcycles and do horseback riding.  He was a member of West Sherman Baptist Church.
He is survived by his father; brother, Stanley Pierce and wife, Pat, of Tom Bean; daughter, Tracey Pierce of Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother in July of 2000.
Members of the Masonic Lodge were pallbearers.
