Ruby Ethel Palmore, 87, passed away May 27, 2010, at Brentwood Place. Ruby was born to Charlie and Ethel Atkins Bond, May 13, 1923 in the Rogers Community, southwest of Bonham. She completed her education at Bonham High School. She married James Edward Palmore on Sept. 7, 1940 in Bonham. Together they had one son, James Dale (J.D.) Palmore. They moved to Denison in 1945 where Ruby started working in the grocery store business. She worked at Kroger's for 28 years, from the time the store opened, until she retired April 30, 1988. Ruby was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, June 1, 2010 at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home with Dr. Ted Palmore officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by one son, J.D. Palmore and wife, Sandra, of Denison; grandchildren, Josh Palmore of Frisco; Tyler Palmore of Plano; and Jada Schuster and husband, John, of McKinney; step-grandchildren, Greg Denison and wife, Danna, of Denison, and Carla Chester also of Denison; great-grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Schuster of McKinney; step-great-grandchildren, Zach and Collin Denison, and Jordan, Caden, Brittyn and Ashlyn Chester all of Denison; sister-in-law, Dixie Bond of Bonham; brother-in-law, Dr. Ted Palmore and wife, Sue, of Denton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jo Johnson; brothers, C.W. Bond of Bonham and Herman P. Bond of Bonham.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.

Denison - Funeral services for James Dale "J.D." Palmore, 61, of Denison were held Monday afternoon, January 3, 2011 in Johnson-Moore Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Russell Clemons officiated.  Burial followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.  He died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in St. Paul's Methodist Hospital.
Mr. Palmore was born December 25, 1949 in Denison, son of James Edward and Ruby Ethel Bond Palmore.  He graduated from Denison High School in 1968.  He married Sandra Denison on March 5, 2000 in Las Vegas.  He was the owner and operator of the Towne Pub and was of the Methodist faith.
J.D. was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He was a devout Cowboy fan.  He loved golf and coaching his son in basketball.  His face would light up when his children walked in a room.
Surviving are his wife; son, Joshua Wade Watson Palmore of Frisco; step-sons, Greg Denison and wife, Danna, of Denison; daughters, Jade and husband, John Shuster, of McKinney; and Tyler Palmore of Plano; step-daughter, Carla Chester of Denison; grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Shuster; step-grandchildren, Jordan, Caden, Brittyn and Ashlyn Chester; Zach Denison; and Collin Denison.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were Rick Coulter, Ray Rucker, Jeff Horton, Otis Talley, Byrd Jennings, and Dewayne Caney.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the Texas Kidney Foundation.
