July 28, 1977 Pg 2 BUCK O'NEAL DIES IN BIG SPRING Buck O'Neal, 69, a former resident of Van Alstyne, died at his home in Big Spring on Wednesday, July 20, 1977. Services for Mr. O'Neal were held in Van Alstyne at the Flesher Funeral Chapel on Saturday. Burial was in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Sherman. The services were conducted by Rev. Jerry Scott of the First Baptist Church, Van Alstyne. Burk O'Neal was born in Van Alstyne on March 15, 1908. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill O'Neal. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Oletha O'Neal of Big Spring; one son, C. B. O'Neal, Jr. of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Connie Berry, Chicago, and Mrs. Carl Cooley, Midland; one step-daughter, Mrs. Glenda Reef, Santa Rosa, California; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Juanita Neilson, San Diego, California; and two brothers, Billy O’Neal of Sherman and Weldon O'Neal of Grapevine. Pallbearers were Joe Baker, Robert Fielder, Floyd Carter, L. D. Spence, Bert English and Jim Pemberton.
