DENISON — Funeral for A. P. "Curley" O'Donnell, 81, who died April 14, 1993, in Texoma Medical Center, were at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Steve Mansen officiated. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.

O'Donnell was born February 10, 1912, in Chillicothe. His parents were Gustine O'Donnell and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ross. He married Maxine Goodall in 1943. A resident of Denison since 1941, O'Donnell owned and operated Roller Bowl. In 1957, he opened Curley's Skateland on Morgan Street and Sherman Roller Rink, retiring in 1983. O'Donnell was a member of the Denison Lions Club for more than 45 years, where he held various offices in the local club and several district offices. He was chairman of the Lions Club Carnival for many years. O'Donnell was a 30-year member of the BPOE Lodge No. 238. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, James Morgan of Denison; two daughters, Patti O'Donnell of Garland and Tina Yates of Denison; brother, J. C.; four sisters, Bertha Canipe of Irving, Evelyn Simpson of Terrell, Alma Boelle of Brandon, Mississippi, Eulagene Goyne of Omak, Washashington; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Delbert Chappell, Fred Gampper, Charles Odle, Ray L. Smith, Harold Harmon, Charles Ingram, Stan Keese and Worth Campbell.



DENISON — Funeral for Maxine O'Donnell, 72, 1608 W. Crawford, who died Wednesday in a local hospital, was at 11 a.m. Friday in Bratcher Chapel with the Rev. Thurman Levacy officiating. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. O'Donnell, a Denison resident most of her life, was born September 4, 1914, in Fairfield, Illinois, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Goodall. A 1932 graduate of Denison High School, she married A. P. "Curley" O'Donnell in 1983 in Denison. Mrs. O'Donnell worked of the U. S. Corps of Engineers and later helped her husband run Curley's Skating Rink and their bowling alley.  She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Elks Auxiliary #238.
Surviving are her husband; son, James Morgan of Sherman; daughter, Tina Yates of Denison; stepdaughter, Patti O'Donnell of Dallas; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Paul "Pete" Spears, Glen "Babe" Hanan, John Clark, Joe Morris, C. O. Jacobs, Howard Backest, and H. W. Denison.
