Myrtice Ann Oglesbee, born July 11, 1934, passed away April 4, 2018 at her home.
Myrtice was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 11, 1934 to Noel and Annie Lou Farr. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Thomaston, Georgia where she was a cheerleader.  She married the love of her life, Earl Oglesbee, June 28, 1953.  Most of her life was spent in Denison, Texas serving the Lord with her husband.  She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where her husband was pastor for 40 years.
Myrtice is survived by her husband; four children, Terri Deweber and husband, Johnny; Keith Oglesbee and wife, Ivy; Marty Oglesbee and wife, Becky; Rebecca Shastid and husband, Lloyd.  She has 15 grandchildren: Steve and Shane Deweber; Scott, Matthew, Jason, Michael, Jessica and Travis Oglesbee; Kathleen Petty; Brittany Stephens; Cody Horn; Candy Meadows; Garrett Burton; Taylor Shastid and Brittany Hicks; 18 great-grandchildren, Tristin, Dakota, Chloe, and Rorie Deweber; Sydney Hudson; Haley, Kinsey Shiann, Jaiden, Ethan, Liam and Logan Oglesbee; Dillon and Jack Petty; Cayden Aviles; Carson Buckner; Wyatt Shastid; Jackson and Colton Hicks; and one great-great-grandchild, Adeline Grace Deweber.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William Farr; and her sister, Irene Oglesbee.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aptil 6, 2018 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Denison with Pastor Dennis Garner and Chaplain Alan Mattingly officiating.  Burial service was at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.  Services were under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. - - - Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.




Rev. Earl H. Oglesbee went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2020 at his home. 
Earl was born in Thomaston, Georgia on September 2, 1931, son of James Arthur and Lois Lee Oglesbee.  He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Thomaston, Georgia.  He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He married the love of his life, Myrtice Ann Farr, on June 28, 1953.  Most of his life was spent serving the Lord.  He was pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Denison for 40 years.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and brothers, Mickey and Dewey Oglesbee.
Earl is survived by a sister, Janell "Bootsy" Oglesbee Vaughan; 4 children: Terri Deweber and husband, Johnny; Keith Oglesbee and wife, Ivy; Marty Oglesbee and wife, Becky; and Rebecca Shastid and husband, Lloyd.  He has 15 grandchildren: Steve and Shane Deweber; Scott, Matt, Jason, Michael, Jessica and Travis Oglesbee; Kathleen Petty; Brittany Stephens; Cody Horn; Candy Meadows; Garrett Burton; Brittany Hicks; and Taylor Shastid along with 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
