DEATHS
Funeral services for Berry J. Nix, 84, who died Friday, September 18 at his home, 1706 W. Johnson street, were conducted Sunday at the Bratcher chapel with Rev. R.D. Nicholson officiating, with burial following at Cedarlawn, Bratcher directing.
Deceased was a resident of his home on Johnson street for the past 50 years.  He had been ill for four months.
Born at Dallas August 1, 1875, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Nix, he was married December 26, 1901 in Panola county to Miss Laura Leslie.  He followed the life of a farmer before coming to Denison.  He was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are his widow; two sons, Lee of Colbert and Leslie of Denison; also a daughter, Mrs. S.B. Anderson, of Ada, Oklahoma.  A sister also survives, Mrs. Minnie Barry and two grandchildren of McKinney.
