Words cannot describe the kind of man Herb was, always a teacher of history, politics or anything you could think of Herb knew all about and was so happy to share it with anyone.  Herb never met a stranger.  He was wise beyond his years and even though he looked like a mix between a hippie and a mountain man, he always was there for his family with either a bad joke or some useful history tidbits.  He loved his family dearly and the time he spent traveling with his wife.  We will be lost without him, but we're all grateful to know that his last trip on this earth that he went just as he did in life with his beautiful wife by his side, holding his hand till the end.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, January 13, 2021 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman.  Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
