DENISON - Delbert Martin, 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Texoma Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Mr. Martin was born Aug. 1, 1923 in Paris, Texas the son of Jim and Lillian Martin. Delbert married the love of his life, Frances Cornelison on January 22, 1945 in Durant, Okla. He served his country proudly in the Army and was awarded a Purple Heart during World War II. Delbert was a paint and body specialist and a member of the DAV. Delbert was a loving husband, father, pa pa, pa and brother. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Martin is survived by his loving family: wife of 64 years, Frances Martin of Denison; daughters, Linda Crump and husband, Woody; and Diane Strickland and husband, Joe, all of Denison; grandchildren, Mark Crump, Michael Crump, Lisa Strickland and Jeff Johnson; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Crisp of Denison, Opal Backest of Muskogee, Okla. and Shirley Brown of Durant, Okla. and one brother, David Hellbusch of California. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Martin; and brothers, Albert, Calvin, Roy, Hubert and Ed Hellbusch.
Graveside services with Military Honors was held at 1 p.m. Monday afternoon, November 9, 2009 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Minister Quinton Gage officiating. There was no set time for visitation.  Arrangements were under the directions of Fisher Funeral Home, in Denison.



Frances Latrell Martin, 90, peacefully entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Stonebrook Assisted Living in Denison.
Mrs. Martin was born January 11, 1928 in Lebanon, Oklahoma, daughter of Collie and Sophia Crabtree Cornelison.  She married Delbert Martin January 22, 1945.
Frances enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family and sewing.  She loved the Lord and attended Achille Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Mrs. Martin leaves behind her daughters, Linda Kay Crump and husband, Woody; and Diane Strickland and husband, Joe; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Danny Wayne Martin; sister, Jade McClendon; brothers, Floyd Cornelison and Lloyd Cornelison.
Graveside services were held Wednesday afternoon, April 25, 2018 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Chaplain Kyle Felker officiating.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
