JOHN R MILLER
Services for John R. Miller, 70, retired electrician of 1827 North Lockhart who died Saturday night in a Sherman hospital after a long illness, will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Horton-Barrett Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Terry Atkinson of the Key Memorial United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the Masonic Section of Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Miller, who was known to most people as Hack Miller, was born in Sherman, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Miller.  He married Ann Haynes January 25, 1930, at Plainview.
He worked at Kolb Electric, was an electrical technician at Hardwicke-Etter Co. during World War II, and owned and operated Miller Electric Co. for many years before his retirement six years ago.  He was a member of the Travis Masonic Lodge, the Grayson County Scottish Rites and the Dallas Scottish Rites.
Surviving are wife; brothers, Harry R. Miller of Sherman and Bryan Miller of Pottsboro; and sister, Mrs.  Herman Layne of Sherman.
