DENISON - Services for Joe Russell McLain, 53, food service instructor of Denison who died Wednesday at a Dallas hospital, were held Thursday afternoon at Flesher Funeral Chapel in Van Alstyne, conducted by Larry Myers.  Burial was at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
A Grayson County native, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. McLain.  He was a World War II veteran and member of the First Christian Church and the American Legion and married to Inez Neff on August 25, 1966 at Denison.
Surviving are wife; step-daughter, Mrs. Kay Boleman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-sons, Darrell Neff of Denison and Jim Neff of Plano; mother, Mrs. Amy McLain, of Van Alstyne; sister, Mrs. Carrie Waller, of Howe; brother, John Henry McLain, of Sherman; five step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were R. G. Cofield, Wally Marlboro, Ronnie Ross, Vestal Lay, Joey Elliott and Bruce Ramsey.
