DEATHS
Funeral services for Mrs. Howard McCarley, 54, were held at Johnson-Moore Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Rev. W.E. Peterson officiating.  Interment was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. McCarley died at her home on Highway 75A north of Denison at 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 10.  She had been ill six months.
Mrs. McCarley was the wife of Howard McCarley, who owned and operated the Lawn Farm Dairy for 26 years before selling the retail part of the business a few years ago.  He still operates the dairy.  
She was born in Sherman, February 13, 1904, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sherman.  She attended Sherman schools, Ivy Business College and Austin College.  She taught school at Pecan Grove for two years and worked at Wilson N. Jones hospital several years.  She was a member of Waples Methodist Church and a Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors are her husband; two sons, Jack W. McCarley, San Francisco and Dr. Robert McCarley, Ames, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Watson, Denison; Mrs. Don Kretsinger, Pecos and Miss Jeanette McCarley, Denison; a brother, Louis Sherman, San Francisco; a sister, Mrs. Hubert Reaves, Katy, Texas, and seven grandchildren.
