- Graveside service for Martha Kilmer Jones, 87, of 937 East Texas, who
died Tuesday in a local hospital, were held Thursday afternoon at
Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Rev. John Purcell conducted the
service. Johnson-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jones was born February 22, 1894 at Bunker Hill, West Virginia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Kilmer. She received her schooling in Wichita, Kansas and married Edwin Dale Jones in Wichita, Kansas. He died August 13, 1962. She was a housewife and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Guy H. Heimsoth, San Mateo, California; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Richard Dale Jones was born March 11, 1913, son of Edwin Dale "Dick" and Martha Washington Kilmer Jones. He passed away April 1964 in San Francisco, California. Richard grew up in Denison, Texas. He attended Brooklyn School of Optometry and became a lens grinder, working for his high school chum, Dr. Al Levinson in Denison, Texas.
