Funeral services were held at the Pottsboro Baptist Church Sunday afternoon, October 21, for C. Jones Jacobs. 81. who died at his home Friday night after 2 years of illness.  Rev. Ray Short of Sherman and Rev. Milton Kresse conducted the service and interment was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Bratcher-Moore funeral directors in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jacobs was born in Memphis, Tennessee, January 9, 1880, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Jacobs.  He received his schooling in Pottsboro and was married in 1900 to Miss Chloe Myrtle Baker.  He was a retired farmer and a member of the Pottsboro Baptist Church, serving as a deacon.  He had lived in Grayson county 70 years, farming in Locust community until his retirement in 1942 when he moved to Pottsboro.
