- Jossie Belle Jacobs, 86, of Garland, died August 13, 1992, in Texoma
Medical Center. Funeral was held Saturday morning in Bratcher
Chapel with Dr. Tom Peel and Rev. Boyd Sawyer officiating. Burial
followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Jacobs was born January 27, 1906 in Crandall, daughter of Newton Eugene and Mattie Mae Wyrick. She married J.L. Jacobs September 8, 1923 in Kaufmann, and he died in 1965. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Garland. Surviving are 2 sons, Dr. Bill Jacobs of Denison and Berry Jacobs of Garland; 2 sisters, Augusta Allen of Dallas and Sybil Roden of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 801 W. Avenue B, Garland, Texas 75040. Pallbearers were Brigg Swain, F.L. Fisher, D.D.
