Otis Sadler Irvin, 65, died Wednesday night at a local nursing home. His home was at route 1, Sherman.
Mr. Irvin was a farmer. He attended public school in the Dripping Springs community. He was a member of the North Park Baptist Church. He was born May 19, 1902 in Tioga, Texas, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Irvin He was married to Berthal Thurman on December 24, 1924 in Sherman.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday in Barrett-Renfro Chapel, conducted by Rev. A.W. Blaine. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Berthal Irvin; two sons, Joe T.  Irvin of Richmond and Ronald Irvin of San Diego, California; two daughters, Mrs. B. Y. Reynolds and Mrs. E. D. Willingham, both of Sherman; two sisters, Mrs. Luther Knox and Mrs. Artie Bowling, both of Sherman; and four grandchildren.

DENISON - Funeral for Berthal Irene Irvin, who died Saturday, was at 2 p.m. Monday at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rocky Pope and Rev. A.W. Blaine officiated. Burial was at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
She was born November 16, 1904 in Grayson County to Orlando and Fannie Morris Thurman. She married Otis Irvin on December 24, 1924 in Sherman.
She attended Bethany School in Grayson County. She was a former member of the Highway Demonstration Club and North Park Baptist Church in Sherman.
Survivors include two sons, Joe T.  Irving of Richmond, Virginia, Ronald Irvin of Dallas; two daughters, Sharlene Reynolds of Denison and Nancy Willingham of Sherman; one sister, Annilou Patrick of Canyon; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
