Sherman - Funeral services for Theodore Ellis "Ted" Hill were held Friday morning, January 25, 2013 in the Waldo Funeral Chapel.  Rev. Jeff Reid of the Pioneer Drive Baptist church in Abilene officiated.  Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Steve Klas, Phil Klas, Mark Armstrong, Dale Hill, Richard Hill and Randy Clark serving as pallbearers.  Mr. Hill, 93, passed away, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Sherman, Texas.
Ted was born May 23, 1919 in Van Alstyne, son of Alfred and Nellie Hunter Hill.  On December 15, 1943 he and Lillie Sue Denton were married.  They were married until her death on May 11, 1986.  On June 29, 1992 he and Ruby Groce were married; Ruby passed away on January 1, 2008.  Mr. Hill worked as a delivery man for Foremost Dairies for 32 years. A  farmer at hear, Mr. Hill enjoyed gardening in his free time.  He was a longtime deacon at Forest Avenue Baptist Church.
Mr. Hill is survived by one daughter, Linda Bankert and husband, Warren, of Fate, Texas; one son, Dennis Hill of Sherman; one sister, Robbie Tellman of Irving; 3 grandchildren, Julie Mann and husband, Rick, of Mesquite, Texas; Rebecca Thornton of Fate, Texas; and Tim Bankert of Garland, Texas; step-granddaughter, Sharon Crowley and step-grandson, Ron Crowly; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters-in-law, Marjorie Hill of Sherman; Jane Cranford of Sadler; Dorothy Wyatt of Tipton, Oklahoma; and Joyce Hill of Sherman; 3 brothers-in-law, RW Klas of Sherman; John Denton and wife, Barbara, of Pottsboro; and Charles Denton and wife, Linda, of Lakeway; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded indeath by his parents; 2 wives; 6 sisters, 4 brothers, one son, Gary Hill; step-daughter, Shirley Rowley; and brother-in-law, Bob Cranford.
