Jimmy Don Herrin, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
Mr. Herrin was born December 30, 1937 in Duffau, Texas, son of Henry and Odessa Herring Herrin.  He married the love of his life, Katherine Coker, May 27, 2000 in Denison, Texas.  Jimmy served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.  He was a Master Plumber and worked 20 years for Richardson ISD.  Jimmy loved the Lord and was a member of East Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Herrin leaves behind his wife, Katherine Herrin, of Denison, Texas; daughter, Laura Kay Sloan, of Howe, Texas; stepson, William Guernsey of Denison, Texas; stepdaughter, Terry Slaten and husband, Ronnie, of Calera, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepson, Burton Guernsey.
Funeral service for Mr. Herrin was held Friday afternoon, October 23, 2020 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brett Castle officiating.  Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.  Pallbearers were Ronnie Slaten, Micah Slaten, Matthew Slaten, Ron Duffell, Jr., Anderson David Duffell, and Glenn Coker.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas. - - - Fisher Funeral Home


Katherine Elizabeth Herrin, 79, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.  She was born June 15, 1941.
Katherine is survived by her daughter, Terry Slaten and husband, Ronnie, of Calera, Oklahoma; son, William Guernsey of Denison, Texas; grandsons, Ron Duffell, Jr. and wife, Mindee, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Micah Slaten and Matthw Slaten, both of Calera, Oklahoma; nephews, Talmage Coker, Jr. of Louisiana and Glen Coker of Denison, Texas; nieces, Nancy Coker and Sarah Bates, both of Denison, Texas; and Vanda Bentley of Burleson, Texas.
Katherine is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Herrin; her parents, Eddie and Sarah Coker; sister, Jeraline Verrill; brothers, Talmage Coker and William Coker; and nephew, Charles Coker.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Slaten, Ron Duffell, Jr., Micah Slaten, Matthew Slaten, Anderson Duffell, and Tony Coker.  Honorary pallbearer was William Guernsey.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 2021 at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas.  Interment was at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
