Charles Earl Harrison was born on April 24, 1929 in Franklin, Texas.  He received his education from the Robertson County public schools.
In 1951 Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country during the Korean War.
Charles worked as a professional truck driver.  He worked for various companies during his life.  He was employed with Cold Storage of Dallas, until his retirement after 28 years of service.
After 89 years of labor, Mr. Charles E. Harrison was called to Eternal Life on Tuesday evening, October 16, 2018 by his Lord God. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and children, Charles Harrison, Jr. and Kay Russell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Mrs. Juanita Harrison of Sherman; children: Brenda Harrison, Doris Jean Jernigan, and Sylvester "Ray" Russell and wife, Monique; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Harrison were held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Payne Chapel AME in Sherman; interment followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.



Juanita DeHorney Russell Harrison was born April 7, 1936 in Ravenna, Texas, daughter of Dennis and Almeta DeHorney.  After the death of her parents at the age of 2, she was raised by Collie B. Brown in Whitewright, Texas.  There she attended Whitewright schools.  After leaving, she moved to Dallas and married Sylvester Russell.  The two then moved to Sherman, Texas, and had their 2 children, twins Sylvester "Ray" and Jacqueline "Kay" Russell in 1965.
After the death of her husband, Sylvester, Juanita was fortunate enough to fall in love again and married Charles Earl Harrison in 1992.
Juanita was a proud wife, sister, mother, grandmother, friend and church member.  She impacted everyone she met with her fierce, funny and honest personality.  She will be deeply missed by all those who surrounded her.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, husband, and daughter.
She is survived by her son, Sylvester "Ray" Russell and wife, Monique; grandchildren: Shonqiua Tennyson and husband, Chauncey; Shakira Russell; and Kelsey Jarvis; great-grandchildren; and other family members and special friends.
Juanita Harrison, 85, of Sherman ascended to her eternal home Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center following an extended illness.
The funeral services was held Saturday morning, October 23, 2021 in Harmony Baptist Church, Sherman, Texas.  Rev. Clifton Eaton was Host Pastor and Rev. Fred Moss was Eulogist.  Burial followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas.  Arrangements were entrusted to James E. Smith and the professionals of Waldo Funeral Home. - - - Waldo Funeral Home
