Billie Louise Clark Howard was born into Eternal Life on July 13, 2020 in Whitesboro, Texas.  She was the only child and daughter of devoted and loving parents, Fred Thomas Clark and Catherine Mae Lewellyn Clark.  She was born in Sherman, Texas on Monday, October 6, 1930.
She married Earl Jefferson Howard on August 27, 1949 in East Sherman Baptist Church, Sherman, Texas.  They lived in Sherman until January 1956 when they moved to Denison, Texas, following Earl's promotion with Piggly Wiggly.
Billie attended Jefferson Elementary School and graduated from Sherman High School in May 1948.  Choosing not to attend college, she enrolled in business school in Sherman until January 1949, when she was employed at the Retail Merchants Association for several years, retiring when Earl returned from military service.  After the birth of their only child, Catherine Elaine, she then became a full-time homemaker, devoting her time to her beloved family.
In the years that followed, she was a member in the Denison Service League for a brief time, and both she and Earl were active in Waples Memorial United Methodist Church in the early years of their residence in Denison.  In the 1970s she and Earl discovered and enjoyed Square Dancing for several years at Texoma Square Dance Club.  After retirement, they also enjoyed traveling and genealogy, which led to a wonderful history of their families.  This led to finding many ancestors and provided membership in The Daughters of the American Revolution, The United Daughters of the Confederacy, and The Colonial Dames of the CXVII Century.
Survivors are her husband; daughter, Catherine Elaine Howard Talbott; son-in-law, Daniel Willaim Talbott; grandchildren: Benjamin Daniel Talbott and wife, Alexis Bennett; Justin Matthew Talbott and wife, Katie Michener Talbott; Caitlin Melissa Talbott and Lauren Catherin Talbott.
There are 6 great-grandchildren: Tyler Jacob Talbott; Layla Grace Talbott; Clark McCrea Talbott; Caroline Elizabeth Talbott; Wyatt David Talbott; and Charlotte Kay Talbott.
She was predeceased by her loving parents; and her father and mother-in-law, Samuel Jefferson and Marcella Josephine Owens Howard.
Services were held under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home, in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday morning, July 17, 2020 with interment following in Cedarlawm Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas.  Services were conducted by Rev. Cheryl Murphy. - - - Waldo Funeral Home



Earl Jefferson Howard passed into Eternal Life November 8, 2020 in Plano.   He was the oldest of 6 children of Samuel Jefferson Howard and Marcella Owens Howard and was born in Ely, Texas on January 21, 1929.  He was a 1946 graduate of Sherman High School and was affiliated with the retail grocery business and was employed by Piggly Wiggly Corporation for 45 years.  He began working for them while still a student in high school and advanced to a position of general manager of this local division.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954 in the Korean Conflict.  During those 2 years in the service he was stationed in Japan and Korea.  He has been a member of the Travis Masonic Lodge No. 117 in Sherman since 1954.  He was a Master Mason for over 60 years.  After his retirement in 1992, he enjoyed his favorite hobbied which included his grandchildren, gardening and traveling.

Survivors are his daughter, Catherine Talbott and husband, Daniel, of Plano; 4 grandchildren, Benjamin Talbott and wife, Alexis, of Wylie; Justin Talbott and wife, Katie, of Wylie; Caitlin Talbott of Canyon; and Lauren Talbott of Garland.  He is also survived by  his brothers, Charles "Chuck" Howard; Larry Howard; and Jerry Howard; 6 great-grandchildren, Tyler Talbott, Layla Talbott, Caroline Talbott, Clark Talbott, Wyatt Talbott, and Charlotte Talbott.
Earl was predeceased by his parents; his mother and father-in-law, Fred and Catherine Clark; his brother, Gene Howard; and his sister, Georgia Parker.
Services were held under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home on Thursday morning, November 12, 2020 with burial to follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas, with military honors.  Services were conducted by Rev. Cheryl Murphy. - - - Waldo Funeral Home
