Grace Hardy, 99, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Denison, Texas.  She was born July 19, 1915 in Coalgate County, Oklahoma, daughter of George and Lucille Dodderer Handley.  She was raised and attended high school in Drumright, Oklahoma.  She was a true "Coal Miner's Daughter" and knew the value and meaning of hard work. 
Mrs. Hardy and her family moved to Deniosn in 1966.  In 1968 at the age of 53, Grace earned her cosmetology certificate and worked until the age of 65 at Elite Beauty Salon in Denison, Texas.  She was a faithful member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church where she served the Lord with her close friends.  She lived a long life and left a lasting legacy of love to all who knew her. 
Mrs. Hardy is survived by her 2 daughters, Katherine Dean and husband, Bill, of Denison; and Carol Crawford and husband, James, of Denison, Texas; 5 grandchildren: James Dean, Gracie Loyd, Van Crawford, Michelle Wood and Casey Crawford; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Rosemary Butler of Cushing, Oklahoma and Connie Bogler of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Owen Hardy; parents; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
