James Paul Holder, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home in Sherman, Texas.  A husband, father and grandfather, James is survived by his loving wife, Donna Holder, of 67 years; daughter, Paula Holder Schneider; and granddaughter, Lauren Quesada.
He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Debbie Holder.
A resident of Sherman for over 50 years, James retired from General Telephone.
He was born in Denison, Texas on February 13, 1929.  Known simply as "Holder" to family and friends, he remained active in the community following his retirement as a 50-year member of the Travis Masonic Lodge, as well as a member of Kiwanis International and the Optimist Club of Sherman.  A true golf enthusiast, James spent countless hours on the golf course and in his workshop rebuilding golf carts.  Through his illness and loss of memory over the past 8 years, James' love for his wife Donna remained consistent as they lived out their final chapter together in their home.
The funeral service was held Monday morning, January 15, 2018 at Waldo Funeral Home followed by burial at Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Donna Narcissus Boyd Holder, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at her home in Sherman, Texas.  
A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Donna is survived by her daughter, Paula Holder Schneider; and granddaughter, Lauren Quesada.  
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Holder; and eldest daughter, Debbie Holder.
Through her illness and loss of memory over the past 8 years, Donna remained strong and continued to put others ahead of herself, believing this too shall pass and better tomorrows were ahead.  Her love for her two girls, Paula and Lauren, never diminished.  She poured a lifetime of love into her family that will continue for generations.
A resident of Sherman for over 50 years, Donna retired from M&P National Bank.
She was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on February 20, 1930.  The oldest of six siblings, she is survived by her two sisters, Jane Collins and Kathy Carrington, and her youngest brother, Michael Boyd.  She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard Boyd and Joe Boyd.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Donna's name to the Home Hospice of Grayson County in efforts to support the dedicated nurses and home health professionals who take care of our loved ones in their final chapter.
The funeral service was held Thursday noon, May 9, 2019 with Rev. Randy Reddell officiating. Burial followed in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. - - - Waldo Funeral Home
