Sherman - Willene Marie Hogan, 84, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at Texas Health Prestybetrian WNJ in Sherman  A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Truth Church in Denison.  Bro. David Gilbert officiated.  Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Willene was born September 19, 1929 to Claude La Fayette Goss and Edith Adena Johnson Goss in Rosewood, North Little Rock, Arizona.  She was married to the late Donald "Red" Barnes and the late Charles Eugene "Gene" Hogan.
She was her mother's best helper, who stopped attending school in the 8th grade to help raise her siblings.
Willene retired from Texas Instruments in 1991 having worked in a variety of posiitions in line production.
Willene is survived by her 8 children: Donny Lee Barnes of Bridgeport, Texas; Dena Marie Davlin and husband, David, of Joaquin, Texas; Teresa Gain May of Little Elm, Texas; Cindy June Aurthur of Stephenville, Texas; Donny Ray Hogan of Las Vegas, Nevada; Cheryl Lynn Coleman and husband, Dan, of Denison; Ricky Gene Hogan of Sherman; Mike Blain Hogan and his girlfriend, Tracy Harney of Kingston, Oklahoma; 4 siblings, Erma Henry of Round Rock, Texas; Dorothy Chaney of Garland, Texas; David Goss of White Hall, Arizona; Claudene Reynolds of Garland; 30 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
