DEATHS

Hatfield died in Madonna Hospital Saturday, March 14, at 8:10 p.m.  He had been operated on two years ago for a serious heart condition which left him with a plastic valve in his heart.  Although he had suffered from the heart condition, his death was not linked to this ailment.  He had developed a blood clot in his leg.
Hatfield was born in Denison in 1915, the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Hatfield.  He attended Denison schools.  He was married August 17, 1933, to Miss Marcella McKinney in Madill, Okla.  He owned and operated the 43 Taxi here for several years, and later was a salesman for the Denison Auto Company.  He had been active in the Denison Round Up Club since its organization, the Quarterhorse Club and he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Jerry and Woody, and his parents, all of Denison; five [sic] brothers, G.C. Hatfield and W.C. Hatfield, both of Garland; W.R. of Gainesville and Owen of Denison; one sister, Mrs. Bobby Eads of Grand Prairie.
