E.W. Harris, 74, Buried at Sherman
Sherman, Texas, June 26 - Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Key Memorial Methodist Church for E.W. Harris, 74, retired farmer who died Monday afternoon at his home.  Rev. C.J. Graves, Methodist minister officiated, assisted by Rev. M.G. Smith, Key Memorial minister.  Burial was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
Harris was born September 9, 1876, near Birmingham, Alabama.  He came to Texas at the age of eleven and had been a resident of Grayson County twenty-five years.  He was married November 15, 1896, at Celina to Miss Dollie McWhirter.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Claud Harris, Houston Harris and Melvin Harris, all of Sherman; and Ray Harris of Dallas; six daughters, Mrs. Frank Nash of Denison; Miss Floy Harris and Mrs. L.O. Spangler of Sherman; Mrs. Howard Logan of Celina; Mrs. W.D. Keeth of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Mrs. G.E. Keeth of Waco; two brothers, H.B. Harris of Gunter and J.W. Harris of San Jose, California; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Phillips of Fort Worth and Mrs. George Mason of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; twenty grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
