Sherman - Cleo T. Hunt, 84, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2008, after complications from heart surgery.  Services were held at Dannel Funeral Home Wednesday morning, September 3, 2008 with Bros. Danny Woods and Randy Harper officiating.  Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Cleo was born in Sturgis, Mississippi on October 27, 1923, daughter of John and Pauline Woodson Templeton.  She married Climmie "Buddy" Hunt in 1942.
Cleo was a lifelong Southern Baptist who loved the Lord and the people around her.  She loved to travel, having spent 27 years as an Air Force wife, traveling the world.  She served as a community service volunteer on many of the bases and was always ready to help anyone in need.  After retiring from the Air Force, Cleo and Buddy gave freely of their time and efforts to Campers on Mission and Volunteer Christian Builders, volunteer organizations that traveled all over the U.S. helping repair and build churches.  Prior to moving back to Sherman, the Hunts lived in Bossier City, Louisiana, where they were longtime members of Bellaire Baptist Church.
A devoted Christian wife, mother and grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Cleo loved flowers and life itself.
Preceded in death by her parents, Cleo is survived by her husband of 66 years, Climmie "Buddy" Hunt of Sherman; son, John E. Hunt, Sr. and wife, Donnelle, of Sherman; sister, Vivian Coleman and husband, Alvin, of Ackerman, Mississippi.  Also grandchildren, Amanda Williams and husband, Craig, of Denison; John E. Hunt, Jr. and Ramona, of Sherman; and Emily Thompson and husband, Michael, of Tom Bean; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Williams of Denison; nephew, David Coleman and wife, Diane, and children, Christi and Christopher, of Ridgeland, Mississippi; and nephew, Ed Coleman of Memphis, Tennessee.
Pallbearers were John E. Hunt, Jr., David Coleman, Ed Coleman, Chris Coleman, Michael Thomson, Craig Williams, and Don Dazenko.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 841123, Dallas, Texas,  75284-1125.
