Sherman - Edna L. Galbreath, 94, died April 28, 2011 at the Sherman HealthCare Center in Sherman.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Grand Avenue Church of Christ, with Homer Howard officiating.
Mrs. Edna Lee Galbreath was born June 16, 1916 in San Marcos.  She was the daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Barnett Dehorney, the step-daughter of Jesse (Red) Dehorney.  She received her education in Bethel Bells School District.  In 1930 she married Harry Copelyn.  To this union two daughters were born.  They lived in Savoy.  She was a homemaker at the time.  In 1948 she married Robert Galbreath.  She worked for E.B. Chapman for 35 years as a domestic worker and helped raise all of their children.  She was a wonderful cook, mother, grandmother, and business lady.  She was an active member of the Grand Avenue Church of Christ, a lifelong member for 50 years.
Preceded in death are husband Robert Galbreath; mother Elizabeth Dehorney; daughter Willie Jewel Taylor; former husband Harry Copelyn.
She leaves to rejoice her home going:
A daughter, Mrs. Mable Copelyn Lyons (Horace); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Craven of Bethel Bells, Mrs. Genevie Kemp, Los Angels, Calif.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Burial toke place at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
Visitation was held 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. May 2, under the direction of the Angelic Mortuary in Sherman.
