Dale Redick Glover was born January 5, 1921 at his family's home, 530 W. Heron St., Denison, Grayson County, Texas, son of John Fryar (Fryer) Glover and Nellora Grace Redick.  Dale's sister, Nellwyn Grace Glver Wells, to whom Dale was very close and of whom he was so proud.
Dale is the grandson of Benjamin Stephen Glover and Martha "Mellie" Baggett, both formerly of Do uglasville, Douglas County, Georgia and of John  Harris "J.H." Reddick and Mary Mason Vestal, all grandparents of Texas.
Dale's father, John, worked as a fireman and engineer for the MKT Railroad for over 50 years, was active in the Freemasons and community service. Dale's mother, Nellora, maintained the home, was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, and community service.   Both parents were active in the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Denison.
Dale studied business and accounting at Austin College in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas.   He interrupted his education to enlist in the U.S. Navy after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  Dale proudly served  in the Pacific and South Pacific, clearing jungles and building aircraft landing strips while fighting enemy combatants that they engaged.
Following World War II, Dale returned to Denison to complete his degree at Austin College.  He became re-acquainted with a life-long family friend, Edna Mae Steele.  Dale married Edna on February 24, 1948 in his parents' parlor of their home.  Edna Mae, her brother, Ernest "Jack" and her parents, Ernest and Georgia O'Bar Steele, were life-long firends of John and Nellora Redick Glover, Dale and Nellwyn.
Born to Dale and Edna Mae were son, John Dale Glover and daughter, Catherine Ann Glover Giles.
Dale worked as an auto salesman and owned and operated his own tax preparation and real estate broker business in Denison.  He was active in the Freemasons and the Shriners.  Dale loved to hunt, fish, camp and to spent time at Lake Texoma.  Dale loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and niece and nephews.  Dale and his family attended lunch and dinner almost every Sunday which were hosted by his mother every Sunday and extended Redick and Glover family in the area were invited.   One of Dale's favorite holidays was Valentine's Day, where each year  he would give candy and flowers to others whom he loved.
Dale's father, John, passed away in 1962; his mother, Nellora, in 1975; and his sister, Nellwyn, in 1980.
Dale Redick Glover  passed away July 25, 1994 in Denison.   His widow, Edna Mae Steele Glover, passed away May 29, 2005 in Aubrey, Denton County, Texas.  Dale and Edna Mae are buried alongside each other and both sets of their parents are buried near them at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
Dale's Glover grandparents, Benjamin Stephen Glover and Martha "Mellie" Baggett, are buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Denison.   Benjamin is not buried at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Denison as noted on Benjamin's Find-A-Grave memorial page, according to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Denison, who reviewed Calvary Cemetery records.
Dale's Redick grandfather, John Harris "J.H." Redick, who passed away in 1893, is buried at Shannon Cemetery on Dripping Springs Road in Sherman.  Dale's Redick grandmother, Mary Mason Vestal, is buried alongside her Vestal parents and siblings  at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, as Dale's uncle, Cleon "Little Cleon" Redick passed away in childhood and is buried in Shannon Cemetery plot, intended for Dale's Redick grandmother.
Dale Redick Glover has many extended Glover, Redick, Steele and Wells family members in Texas, Oklahoma and throughout the U.S., who love and remember him.

Notes to those who may research Dale's Redick family, which is filled with many repeating names and with many males who used the same initials:
Dale's uncle, "Little" Cleon Redick; Dale's grandfather, John Harris "J.H." Redick, who passed away in 1893; and Dale's grand-uncle, Jonas Rude Redick, who passed away in 1873 are buried alongside Dale's Redick great-grandparents, Cleon Oliver Redick and Lucy Harris Reddick, at Shannon Cemetery in Sherman.
Dale's Redick grandfather, John Harris "J.H." Redick, who passed away in 1893 and who is buried in Shannon Cemetery in Sherman, is the father of all of Dale's Redick grandmother, Mary Mason Vestal's sons and daughters, including Jonas Rude Redick, who passed away in 1938, who is buried at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman; and who is often misidentified as the son of James Harris "J.H." Redick, who passed away in 1928 and who is buried in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
Dale's uncles, James Madison "Matt" Redick and Millard Fillmore Redick, are buried beside Matt's and Millard's uncle and Dale's  grand-uncle, James Harris "J.H." Redick, who is the brother of Dale's Redick grandfather.
Dale's Redick grandmother, Mary Mason Vestal Redick, who passed away in 1923, is buried alongside her Vestal parents and siblings at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman.
The "Mamie Dodd" who is buried beside Dale's uncles, Matt and Millard, and beside Dale's grand-uncle, James Harris "J.H." Redick at West Hill Cemetery is not Dale's grandmother, Mary Mason Vestal Redick.
The James Harvey "J.H. Redick, who passed away in 1917 and who is buried at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Grayson  County, Texas, is the son of Dale's grand-uncle, James Harris "J.H." Redick, who passed away in 1923 and who is buried at West Hill Cemetery
