Funeral for Margaret Mae Grimes, 76, of Sherman who died Saturday in a Sherman hospital was held Monday afternoon at Waldo Chapel with burial in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
She was born April 6, 1908 in Glennwood, Iowa, daughter of James and Lillie Donohoo Maxwell.  She was the widow of I.L. Grimes; they married on April 1, 1924 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.  She was a licensed vocational nurse, working for Wilson N. Jones Hospital for 18 years before retiring in 1970.  She was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Sherman.
Survivors include 2 sons, James of Garland and Gene of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Katharine Weininger of Denison; one sister, Susan Center of Oklahoma City; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.


Funeral for Ivey [sic] Lloyd "Tobe" Grimes, 62, who died at his home Thursday night were held Monday afternoon at Waldo Chapel with burial at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Grimes was born February 13, 1905 at Tishomingo, Oklahoma and married Miss Margaret Mae Maxwell in 1925. He was an auto mechanic.
Survivors are his wife of Sherman; 2 sons, James of Houston and Robert D. of El Monte, California. A daughter, Mrs. Ted Weinberger, of Denison; 2 brothers, L.W. of Brownsfield and Tom of Lee Roy, Arizona.  A sister, Mrs. Evie Idom of Houston; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
