Jewell Gilley-Houser was born October 12, 1931 in Cooper, Houston Co., Texas, daughter of Charles Columbus Murray and Allie Porter McAbee Murray.  
She began working at the age of 13 as a waitress, hostess and cashier at Furrs Super Market, Ramada Inn, and the Sierra Dawn Cafe.  She went to work at Texas Instruments in September 1966 as a flow line tech and retired in September 1990 as a tech engineer.  For 10 years she worked as a car co-pilot for mobile homes of Greely, Colorado with her husband Dale Houser.  She later moved back to Oklahoma.  Judy loved to travel and being out in nature.  She had a love of f lowers, birds and enjoyed watching her dogs and the cat play chase outside her window.  One of her passions was reading the Word of God and watching Pastor Arnold Murray on Shepard's Chapel.
She was married to Billey Wayne Gilley on February 20, 1948 until his passing.  She later married Dale Franklin Houser on June 30, 1994 until his death.
Jewell died November 24, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Grayson Co., Texas.  A commital service was held for Jewell Gilley-Houser on Saturday afternoon, November 30, 2013 in the Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.
Judy is survived by one daughter, Wanda Gayle Mattingly and stepdaughter, Debbie Meyer; two sons, Donald Mancell Gilley and Allen Wayne Gilley; two step-sons, Ken Houser and wife, Joyce; and Stewart Houser. Grandchildren, Terry Keith and fiance, Shannon Wells; Kevin Keith; Michelle Gorman and husband, Randy; Robbie Mattingly and wife, Jenae; Donald Gilley, Jr. ane wife, Diana; Chris Gilley; April Gilley; Elisha Gilley; great-grandchildren, Ashley Keith and husband, Austen; Shaniqua Keith; Preston Wilson; Brooklynn Smith and husband, Adam; Brendan Gorman; Bryan Gorman; and Macie Mattingly; great-great-grandchildren, Hayden Smith; Britlee Smith; and Wyatt Hellinghausen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, JW Chancelor; 4 sisters, Martha Cass; Mitte Braddock; Aliene Reichburg; Sonja  James; son-in-law, Danny Mattingly; and daughter-in-law, Jeannie Gilley.
