Floyd S. Flowers, 62, of Route 4, Sherman, died Saturday morning in a Sherman hospital after a short illness.  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Waldo Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. A.W. Blaine, pastor of North Patk Baptist Church.  Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas.
Mr. Flowers was born March 28, 1905 in Grayson County, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rube Flowers.  He married  Miss Gracie Griffith on November 4, 1925 at Gainesville.  Mr. Flowers worked for the Kimbell Mills and the Day Manufacturing Company. He retired in 1966.  He was a member of the Ida Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife of Sherman; 2 sons, Ronald Flowers of Plano, and Houston Flowers of Mesquite; 3 daughters, Mrs. May Belle Gibby of Sherman, Mrs. Francis Godwin of Sherman, and Mrs. Gladys Sims of Ft. Worth; 3 brothers, Avery Flowers of Dallas, Ernest Flowers of Vernon, and Rudolph Flowers of Sherman; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ruby Harrison and Mrs. Locky Hawkins of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Miss Viola Flowers of Houston; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Harold Maxwell, James Brannum, Skeeter Chancellor, Leroy Groner, Fred Lafoy and Weldon Nelson, all of Sherman.
