Sherman - Services for Della M. Wilson Francis were held Tuessday morning, December 19, 2006 at Dannel Funeral Home.  Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.  Rev. Gaither Day and Rev. Albert Fisher officiatedl  Mrs, Francis passed away on Friday, December 15, 2006 at Wilson N. Jone Medical Center.
Della was born  April 22, 1926 in Whitesboro, Texas, daughter of Isaac E. Wilson and Anna Jo Sheridan Wilson.  She graduated from Gunter High School and retired after 42 years of service from the U.S. Postal service in 1990 as Gunter postmaster.
She married Billy F. Francis on November 25, 1944 and celebrated 54 years of marriage before his death in 1999.
Della was a longtime member of the Gunter Community Club and a member of the National Association of Postmasters.  She was a member of Key Memorial United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed traveling and her family, who were the joy of her life.
Surviving is her son, Dennis Francis and wife, Glenda, of Plano, Texas; daughter, Diane Todd and husband, Johnny, of Frisco, Texas; sister, Doris Haworth and husband, Vance, of Sherman; 3 grandchildren: Monica Todd of Frisco; Larry Todd and wife, Justi of Plano; and Jill Kettlewell and husband, Dave, of Allen; 3 great-grandchildren, Cole Kettlewell, Hailey Todd and Alayne Kettlewell; brother-in-law, Bob Francis and wife, Fannie, of Bedford, Texas; sister-in-law, Faye Francis of Paris, Texas; brother-in-law, Shell Boyce and wife, Barbara, of Tom Bean, Texas; numerous nieces nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Francis were Larry Todd, Dave Kettlewell, Chad Haworth, Edward Haworth, Christian Haworth, Larry McCarhty, and Troy Jaco
