Sherman - Funeral services for Wanda Fleming, 84, of Sherman were held Saturday afternoon, August 17, 2013 at West Sherman Baptist Church.  Rev. Danny Wood officiated and burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.  Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
Wanda passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at her residence in Sherman.
She was born on April 11, 1929 in Blue Ridge, Texas, daughter of Jesse Eugene and Dennie Mae Kinamon Sartin. Wanda graduated from Princeton High School and then attended Draughon's Business School, learning and becoming an expert in short hand. She was saved and baptized at a revival in Princeton in 1943.  Wanda first married Raymond Langford and he preceded her in death in November 1974.  She later married Melvin Franklin Fleming.  He also preceded her in death in April of 2004.  Wanda was a longtime member of West Sherman Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Spencer and husband, Rick, of Sherman; son, Gary Langford and wife, Stacy, of The Woodlands; and daughter, Debbie Naffziger and husband, Jim, of Las Vegas, Nevada; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Marshall Sartain of Sherman; sister, Helen Harod of McKinney; daughter-in-law, Joan Fleming; and very close friend, Dr. Cidney Peveto.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; two sons, Gary Jack Fleming and Melvin Fleming; and great-granddaughter, Abigail Brown.
The pallbearers were the deacons of West Sherman Baptist Church.
