The Eastwood Saga
c1991

John Lewis "Luke" Eastwood had black hair and deep blue eyes with fair complexion.  He was about 6 feet tall with slender build.  He attended school at Roberta, Oklahoma and was a farmer;\, In 1915 while living in Roberta around midnight Luke realized a storm had potential for tornado; he told the children to get out of bed and go to the storm cellar.  They jumped out of bed without a word and headed for the cellar in their night clothes.  All that was saved was the night clothes and their lives.
Nora C. Eastwood, wife of Luke, died about 1916. She realized she was dying and ask Luke to promise not to remarry until the children could provide for themselves.  He raised them by himself and never remarried.  (Told by Delia Lee, born 1911)
